Reepham and District Rotary Club

The Club has been busy over recent weeks.
A sponsored cycle ride was organised by President Cliffie Harmer.  Members had a very enjoyable morning cycling around the Norfolk countryside and finishing up for a barbecue at Furze Lane, Booton, courtesy of Barry Howes.  The monies raised from this event will go to the Crossroads charity.

The venue for this year’s annual Charter Night was Greens Restaurant in Aylsham.  Members enjoyed an excellent meal and the very entertaining speaker.

At last week’s meeting, Ivan Tubby took over as President from Cliffie Harmer – one Cawston builder to another.  Ivan lives in Cawston with his wife Margaret and runs a development and property company.  He has decided to support the Norfolk Air Ambulance for his charity for the year.
He has a busy year lined up for the Club including a marquee charity ball to be held in December.

The Club has now welcomed back former Rotarian Paul Smith and his sense of humour has already been tested upon members.  Paul was one of the founder members of the Club but for personal reasons had to leave some 3 years ago.  He is an officer for Broadland District Council Health Department and is going to give the Club a talk on wheelie bins!
