BAWDESWELL PARISH COUNCIL-
EXTRACTS OF MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 3rd FEBRUARY 2003 at 7.30pm. IN  THE VILLAGE HALL

PRESENT:    Councillors Battley(Chairman),Cunliffe,Clarke,
                        Lilwall and Smith  
                        Mr.J.Mallen(DC)  4 Parishioners
APOLOGIES:  Councillors Farthing and Hind.  Mrs.I.Floering Blackman
MATTERS ARISING:
- Footpath through Saxon Meadows onto Recreation Field - Breckland confirm that Balmforths carried out development in accordance with approved plans.
Mr. Mallen will contact Breckland to see if height difference between pathway and field , as it is so dangerous, was agreed.
- Hedgerow between Saxon Meadows and Recreation field not subject to conservation order.  Clerk to check Deeds to see if hedgerow was boundary of field and houses.  
PLANNING:
- Old Workhouse - variation of condition 5 on PP to use car port for outside drinking area -Mr. Mallen attended meeting of Development Control and confirmed that approval had been given with a number of conditions.   PC awaiting official confirmation from Breckland.
- NCC details on proposed single storey flat roof extension to Bawdeswell Primary School circulated to Councillors during recess - No Objections.
PP has been granted to the following:
- The Paddocks, Reepham Road - variation of conditions on PA to remove 'applicants own horses'to relate to 'owner/occupier'.
- Bawdeswell Garden Centre (circulated to Councillors during recess)-two storey extension to front of garden centre, create new shop and offices above.
-Church View, The Street - rebuilding of existing shed.
Refusal of listed building consent - Church View - new staircase and provision of new conservation rooflight.
- Royal Mail plans to resite letter box in The Street from middle of pavement to near entrance to Post Office - no objections.
-Elections for Parish Councillors takes place in May - notice to be published 24h March.
- BOTTLE BANK - these are being filled more quickly than in the past - Clerk to see if we can have larger or more banks.    Problem over Christmas was that both Banks were filled within two days and a large amount of bottles were just left in a heap - as collection services did not work over Christmas period and were then busy,it caused the situation.
NEXT MEETING MONDAY 3rd MARCH 2003 AT 7.30pm IN THE VILLAGE HALL.    ALL PARISHIONERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
