NOTICE BOARD

BAWDESWELL PARISH COUNCIL ELECTION
Its a time of change  with  Parish Council elections taking place resulting in a new parish council -.
Because only five people, of the seven allowed, had put their names forward by the closing date for nominations, they are technically unopposed and there will not now be a Parish Council election  on May 1st.

(The District Council Election will still take place on that day.)

Two more councilors can be co-opted on to the Parish Council.  This is an excellent chance to become part of the decision making team in the village.  It involves attending a once-monthly meeting in the village hall.
If anyone is interested please contact the clerk on 688 234

Thanks go to Andy Battley, Bill Cunliffe, Mary Farthing and Tony Smith who are not putting their names forward  this time.  They have given of their time and energies to the Parish Council for many years. All have put a lot into serving the village for a long time and deserve our many thanks.

BAWDESWELL HOMEWATCH
The  homewatch scheme in village needs a new volunteer to co-ordinate it.
Again if anyone is interested please contact the Parish Clerk.

BAWDESWELL VILLAGE HALL
Bawdeswell Village Hall needs your support.  It would be a shame for it to have to close from lack of people willing to run it.
Please contact the Parish Clerk 688 234  if you are prepared to join its committee.
In the meantime if you are wanting to hire the hall, the keys are being looked after by Andy Battley at the village store and Piers Millington Wallace on 688 388. The rate is £7 per hour.
