NOTICE BOARD

Telephone Scam:  If you get a telephone call with a recorded message congratulating you on being chosen for free holiday trip to an exotic location, do not dial 9 when instructed to do so.
This will connect you to a premium rate number and you will be charged at £20 per minute.  It gets worse.
By the time you have answered all their questions, you will have run up a telephone bill for over £200.
Add to this the air fares and cost of very expensive transfers to and from the free destination, you will soon have paid for a holiday you thought you had “won”!

Broadband:  Only 3 people followed up the plea last month to register an interest in Broadband.   BT are now actively encouraging us to do so on their website www.btopenworld.com/votebroadband
Here is what they are saying –
“All it takes is for enough people in our local area to show their genuine interest in ordering broadband and we can help to make it happen here!
Broadband can really make a difference to people living and working in this area
whether you use the internet for personal or business use.”
We need 150 showing an interest in the Bawdeswell exchange.  We have reached only 54.  There must be hundreds more of you.  The exchange has about 700 subscribers.
It is very easy and quick to register your interest at the above  web address.  Ed
