LETTERS

Dear Editor,
Further to the article in the Nov. Reeve’s Tale, 'Foxley Gardens Open Day 2002', it is only right and proper that all those giving freely of their time and effort should be publicly recognized.
My son and another village lad were asked if they would help with the parking facility at Foxley Lodge. At the last moment my son was asked if he would go earlier than arranged, which he did without hesitation and they stayed until the conclusion so giving their support to the success of that day. Neither of these boys has been recognized in the credits. As there were no Dereham Scouts at this location I am surprised that those responsible for this arrangement did not seek to rectify this oversight.

The person who wrote the report wasn’t told that your son and his friend were not part of the Scouts, who were mentioned as a group in the thanks to everybody.  Their help was much appreciated, along with the other boys, and it is regretted that they did not receive a mention too.      Sorry lads.  I still don’t know your names. Would like to say many thanks to their friends and neighbours for their kindness shown towards them on their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.  This was greatly appreciated. Once again many thanks.
