THE BECK WI

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Beck W I, members and guests met on 13th January for a Pot Luck Supper, followed by entertainment.
All food - meat, salads, pastas, etc. etc., followed by an appetising selection of sweets and a beautiful home-made hand-decorated cake, was supplied by the members,
A Picture Quiz severely tested our memories and later in the evening we were invited to sing well known Songs from the Shows, the pianist being a welcome guest, Albert Peachment.
Tickets were distributed to those members going to see My Fair Lady at the Theatre Royal on 27th January.
The Speaker at our next meeting, Patrick Maitland, has been a Driving Instructor for 40 years. The date is 10th February - time 7.30 p.m. - The Old School Room, Sparham, and as always, we welcome new members.

THE BOOK CLUB

This continues to be an enjoyable evening.
We choose a selection of books each month so there is always choice and
no pressure is put on anyone to read something they do not like.  We are
also interested to hear of other books members have read and enjoyed.

We would be pleased to welcome new members .
We meet on the first Wednesday of each Month at 7.30 in The Old
Workhouse Bar.

Our book choices for February are:
" Man and Boy"  Tony Parsons.    "Atonement"   Ian McEwan
