FOXLEY
OPEN GARDENS DAY
Enough rain fell in half an hour for white water rafting to have been more appropriate than an Open Gardens Day at Foxley on Sunday 8th June. However, undaunted, Foxley residents offered shelter and hospitality to the many visitors from Norfolk and the surrounding counties. Quite understandably, numbers were down but nevertheless enough was raised to give £580 each to the East Anglia Air Ambulance; the Church building Fund and the Village Hall. Peter Mendham and his colleagues of the East Anglian Air Ambulance showed their appreciation of our efforts by flying over the village a number of times and landing so that children could have a really good view of the helicopter, and meet the crew. The committee would like to thank all residents; friends from local villages and others who gave so generously of their time and energy to make this day a very memorable one in the history of Foxley Village.
