Class 1 have had an
exciting two weeks learning about the Chinese new year. This is the
year of the Goat. The class have enjoyed making hats, dragon puppets and
have even made Chow Mein. They have had dragons in the classrooms and have
had a dancing dragon in the hall.
We would like to thank Margaret
Keeler for an interesting assembly on February 11th.
The school choir has been
busy rehearsing for a performance of ‘Silver Trumpet’ which will
be performed as part of a concert at St Andrews Hall on 1st April. The
concert will involve about 25 schools in the area. At the regional rehearsal
at Drayton Middle School, the choir was praised for their performance.
Well done everyone.
Class 4 are getting
very excited about their drama. They have just started rehearsals for a
production of Alice in Wonderland. Auditions have finished and parts have
just been given. We are sure the production will be spectacular.
The whole school took part
in a non-uniform day, Thursday 13th February to help raise
funds for the school. A good day was had by all.
Friday 14th February class
4 had an India day. The Indian dance and food tasting went down especially
well. Many thanks to Liz Byrne who helped with the wonderful food.
