CEILIDH
The Harvest Supper and Barn
Dance on September 27th was considered a big success. Over 100 people
attended and most took to the dance floor from the very first dance.
We had two breaks in the dancing, one for the hog roast and one for the
feast of puddings. It was a wonderful spread of food and added greatly
to the evening’s enjoyment.
Thank you all who supported
the event and those who worked so hard in the background.
The combination of Harvest
Supper and Barn Dance worked so well that we will seriously consider making
this an annual event. RT
CHRISTMAS
The next major Friends Event
will be the Christmas Tree Festival weekend 13 -14th December in the church,
with a Christmas Concert on 14th December followed by Tea and Mulled Wine.
There is still room for
more sponsors or people to decorate the trees, which are being provided
by the Friends. Please note it is a fund-raising event and donations
or sponsorship would be appreciated.
Sponsors can dedicate one
of the trees to a loved one. A card will be placed in front of the
tree for the duration of the Christmas period.
