NOTICE BOARD

BENEFICE CHOIR
Anyone interested in joining a church choir to take part in the Benefice Services which occur only in the months that there is 5th Sunday, please contact James Lilwall on 01362 688499.  There will be a meeting at Church View in Bawdeswell on Thursday 15th January at 7.30pm.
Please let James know if you would like to attend or take part later.

SEEKERS CLUB
Our meeting is at Lyng Village Hall on Saturday December 20th 10am – 12 noon.  This is for children 7 yrs old to 12 yrs.  Cost £1 includes Tuck.
We thought this meeting could be for the children to share a talent they have.
Do you enjoy telling jokes, singing, play a musical instrument, do tricks, football skill etc.  Please come along on the morning with your act or to watch your friends.

SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOUR
Parents.  It has been drawn to the attention of the magazine that an unrecognised car was parked in Saxon Meadows behind Bawdeswell church and seemed to be receiving visits from local children.  There is concern that illegal substances might have been changing hands and the incident has been reported to the police as suspicious.
Young people do congregate in the churchyard, many of them quite innocently. Some sadly leave a lot of litter and, behind the church, piles of cigarette ends.
Please be aware that this is going on.  There is probably not much you feel you can do about it, but please make them aware that they are drawing attention to themselves and to be careful of what they get up to.

MACMILLAN CANCER CARE
Rene Kent of Bawdeswell would like to thank everyone who supported her on her 6 mile sponsored walk in July and for the donation of £100 from Foxley Bowls Club.  She was able to send £552 to Macmillan Cancer Care and they have sent a receipt and their grateful thanks.

THE DISTRIBUTION TEAM
As the Reeve’s Tale comes to the end of another year, thank-you to all our volunteer distribution team.  Without you the magazine would have no readers.  And many thanks too to all the contributors and supporters these last twelve months.

A HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR READERS
