FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL

Full steam, fundraising

The Quiz and chips evening back in September was a huge success, everyone really enjoyed themselves and the intellectual levels were obviously well matched, as the scores were all so close. So a big thank you to all the teams for making it such a good evening.
Thank you also to everyone that helped to collect the EDP Get Equipped tokens, regrettably we were unsuccessful this time. However we will try again next year.
In the meantime, big plans for the school library are being formulated. It cannot be emphasised enough how important books are in a child’s academic and social development.  The Friends would like to make the library its fundraising focal point for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately the library currently has a make shift feel about it and so with the help of the school staff we would like your support in turning this area within school into a user friend, well equipped, comfortable and inviting source of knowledge and reference

Board of letters
In order that we maintain good communications and circulate information effectively a request has been made for a notice board to be attached to a wall close to the main entrance of school. We are aware that there are many very talented and skilled individuals within the area, and so we are looking for any willing volunteers to help us with this project. We have a good idea of what is needed and obviously we will cover any expenses. If you have the time and the ability then please contact any of those listed above. We would be most appreciative.
