FRIENDS OF BAWDESWELL CHURCH

The Ceilidh and Harvest supper were as popular as last year.  We hired a marquee this time to make more room for the dancing.
Country dancing makes it a very social event and a good time was had by everyone, even those who thought they couldn’t dance.
The supper was a feast again.  Thanks to all who prepared it and to everyone who came along and enjoyed it.
We plan to make this an annual event.  The date for your diaries next year is September 17th.  Hope you will come again.

We have made a present of the Yamaha  Clavinova keyboard we bought earlier to the church.  It has already been put to good use and will be an asset for concerts, special services and for choir practices.

Another gift to the church is a CCTV system to monitor the entrance door.  This was the gift of an individual friend and is going to be of huge benefit.  It means that the church can now be left unlocked during the day and open for visitors and villagers to come and go as they please.

Our next Coffee Morning (free) and 100 Club Draw will be in the church on Saturday 2nd October.  All are welcome, non-members too.  If you want to join, you can do so there , but there is no pressure!

Look out for the Christmas Tree Festival again this year, weekend of 11th/12th December.  We are looking for sponsors again and tree decorators.
The Christmas Tea party and Concert will again feature the school choir.  Parents of participating children will be offered half-price tickets.  Please do come.
Full details of this and next year’s events are below.
